Welcome to the 2009 Graduating Class

I hope you all had a wonderful time at your welcoming tea!

Remember that the other semester students love to share their experience and feel free to click on the links to the other blogs to introduce yourselves and ask questions.

There's a veritable smorgasborg of information available on the blogs of earlier classes and you'll find the test bank especially helpful. The photos can be pretty humorous as well!!!

Study together, laugh together, pass the darn NCLEX together!

Thank you everyone for today...after the orientation I was very nervous but then going to the welcome Tea it made me excited again. I have a question though for the experienced students... Do you really recommend getting a PDA? and if so what kind? and where did you buy it? Thanks.

Unless you plan on carrying books around in your pocket, I recom buying a PDA. You use it everyday in clinicals looking up your medications. You can get other downloads like signs and symptoms, diseases and disorders, lab values, tabers. I do not know how anyone gets by without a PDA. I have a HP windows version that I bought in Modesto at Comp USA it was around $350 a year ago, then with all of your downloads it is around an additional $2-300 depending on what you get. They should have given you info on were to go for the downloads at your tea, if not the SNA will probobly have a meeting for the first semester students on PDA's. Good luck and study hard. :) Cindy Tinney (3rd semester)

I am definitely interested in that SNA PDA party! I didn't have the cash to register for SNA at the tea. Can I register for the association in the Nursing office? If not, how do I get in touch with someone from SNA? Thanks.

Thanks for the PDA info, but I have a little different situation. I am in desperate need of a new phone, so I figure I can just get a phone/PDA. Has anyone done it this way? If so, what phone did you get? Would any of the Blackberry phones work (curve, pearl, etc)?

Thanks.
